Privacy Policy

Boundary (“Boundary,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by AJH Gaming and Holdings LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use boundaryline.app and our related services (the “Service”).
In short: the deed files you open are processed in your browser, on your device — they are not uploaded to or stored on our servers by default. We collect only the limited account and billing information needed to run your account.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up or sign in (including with Google), we collect your name, email address, and authentication identifiers. Authentication is handled through our provider, Clerk.
- Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and limited billing metadata. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
- Deed files and legal descriptions. Deed PDFs and images you open are processed in your browser. Optical character recognition (OCR) runs on your device, and the source file is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. When you choose to plot, georeference, or export a tract, the parsed text and coordinates for that request are sent to our API to generate the result. Your tract history is stored locally in your browser.
- Usage and technical data. We keep standard server logs (such as IP address, request metadata, and timestamps) to operate, debug, and secure the Service.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To create and manage your account and process subscriptions.
- To secure the Service and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that process data on our behalf to run the Service, including Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (network and content delivery), and our hosting infrastructure. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Boundary, our users, or others.
Professional confidentiality
Many of our users are landmen, attorneys, title professionals, and surveyors handling client work product. Because deed files are processed on your device by default and are not retained on our servers, the Service is designed to support your confidentiality obligations (such as those under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act or ABA Model Rule 1.6). You remain solely responsible for meeting your own professional, ethical, and legal obligations.
Data retention
We retain account and subscription information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting requirements. You may request deletion of your account data at any time. Data stored locally in your browser (such as tract history and OCR results) remains on your device until you clear it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your account information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Note that we cannot access deed files that were processed only on your device.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to authenticate you and maintain your session. We keep these to what is needed to operate the Service.
Children
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
The Service is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
